"Think For Yourself" is a Beatles cover that came to life originally as an idea in 2012 for an arrangement very much inspired by the work of Isaac Hayes. It always seemed that there was more to this George Harrison song than the way The Beatles recorded it for Revolver. That is pretty much the case with *all* Beatles-era George Harrison songs, and you'll be seeing many many Confusion Boats covers of George songs because they're all so cool and there's so much there to explore and discover.

A largely complete demo version of this song was recorded over the summer of 2022 in Santa Fe, and then taken to Fernando Perdomo's Stairway Studio in LA in late August where the stunningly superb vocalist Charles Jones added his magic, as did Fernando Perdomo with great guitars and drums. Surprisingly, a lot of the demo tracks survived to the final cut.

The female backing vocals heard on "Think For Yourself" are right "out of the box," meaning, they come from a software plugin called Voices of Soul from East West / Soundsonline, and feature a vast library of great vocal samples by C. C. White. C. C., if you're out there, thank you!
